Introduction:
Extremism in the politics of the United States has been an issue since the birth of the republic. One might even say that there would be no United States without a healthy dose of extremism against the British colonial rulers. But as America’s politics has developed over our two hundred forty year history, political violence and extremism has always reared it’s ugly head when times got tough.
