Empowering Voices: Taking Tangible Steps Towards Human Rights
In an initiative to shed light on the heartbreaking events of the past few years, where tens of thousands of lives have been lost in Gaza and Lebanon, Afghanistan, yemen, Iraq, Syria, China and other corners of the world, Freemuslim’s Executive Director, Mr. Moujtaba Akhwand, will be holding a pivotal event titled Taking Tangible Steps Towards Human Rights. Freemuslim has participated in over 150 meetings, hearings, and events regarding human rights. Through these experiences, the organization strongly believes in a collective effort to address issues, especially those that threaten world peace. Freemuslim is planning multiple events to promote peaceful, actionable steps to prevent further loss of innocent lives. No human being should be used as a tool in the political disputes between nations, and the question remains: how many more lives must be sacrificed before we acknowledge that every life matters?
On October 11th, Mr. Akhwand will speak at the Imam Ali Center in Springfield, VA, to discuss how Americans can actively promote peace and prevent the loss of lives. In a society empowered by the voices of individuals who care, we have a collective responsibility to safeguard the lives of innocent people. Kids are the future leaders, and families who have suffered the loss of loved ones do not forget those responsible. If we want a different, more peaceful future for our children and the world, we must take tangible steps now.
