Freemuslim Inclusion Forum Calls for the Release of Detainees on the Occasion of Prophet Mohammad’s Birth Anniversary
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
“And We have not sent you, [O Mohammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.”
Holy Quran: Chapter 21, Verse 107
On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him and his progeny), Freemuslim Inclusion Forum extends its heartfelt congratulations to the global Islamic community. As a human rights organization dedicated to promoting justice and nonviolence, Freemuslim calls on the governments of Islamic countries to release political and prisoners of conscious, particularly those imprisoned for exercising their fundamental rights to freedom of opinion and expression.
The ability to express thoughts and opinions freely, without fear of reprisal, is a cornerstone of a just society. Freemuslim emphasizes that the suppression of free expression stifles dialogue and progress. Director of Freemuslim, Moujtaba Akhwand, underscores the importance of allowing all citizens to voice constructive criticism of government policies without the threat of imprisonment. He advocates for citizens to not only identify shortcomings but also contribute to the development of practical, positive solutions, thereby becoming active participants in societal progress. “Highlighting issues without offering pathways to improvement is insufficient; constructive engagement is vital to achieving meaningful change,” Akhwand added.
Freemuslim views this sacred occasion as an opportunity to initiate a humanitarian campaign aimed at fostering reconciliation, tolerance, and forgiveness. This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between communities and their governments, promoting harmony and understanding across societal divides.
Moreover, Freemuslim stresses that this occasion should serve as a catalyst for reform, encouraging the adoption of policies that enhance democratic principles, peaceful coexistence, and respect for human rights within Islamic nations.
In conclusion, we extend our prayers to the Almighty, asking for peace, security, and prosperity for all of humanity.
