Statement of the Free Muslim Organization on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The violence that women face is a problem inherited in some societies, behind which are backward customs or tyrannical policies that allow what has been previously prohibited. On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Freeuslim Association calls on the international community, institutions and organizations affiliated to women rights to raise the pace of support and assistance to this segment, especially with the continuation of violations and crimes committed against women, as these violations vary between sexual exploitation or enforced absence. Reduction of freedom through forcible detention or preventing women from their rights to education or self-determination, as well as their exploitation as a commodity through dubious slogans or suspicious agendas that stripped them of their essential value in various aspects of life. On this occasion, the organization calls for the release of women detained on political grounds, to seek redress for abused women, and to ensure the fight against violence in all its forms against women in general.
