Freemuslim United Efforts to Ensure Security and Peace in Mogadishu
Freemuslim, the Center for De-Radicalization & Extremism Prevention, strongly condemns the recent terrorist attack that targeted unarmed civilians in Mogadishu. The organization urges Somali authorities to reassess their security strategies to protect innocent lives effectively.
Human rights reports confirm that an extremist group carried out a deadly armed attack on unarmed citizens in Mogadishu, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries. In light of this, Freemuslim emphasizes the urgent need for comprehensive and proactive measures to dismantle terrorist cells and curb extremist ideologies, ensuring peace and security throughout the country.
Freemuslim also calls upon minorities and oppressed communities to support one another to achieve collective security. Director of Freemuslim, Moujtaba Akhwand, highlighted the importance of creating a secure and peaceful environment for everyone in Somalia. He stressed that it is through peaceful coexistence that Somalia can make significant advancements in science, technology, medicine, education, and various other fields.
Mr. Akhwand further noted that Somalia has the potential and responsibility to find solutions to the misuse of military-grade weapons against civilians by terrorist groups. Addressing this critical issue is essential for safeguarding the nation’s future and fostering a stable, progressive society.
Freemuslim extends its deepest condolences to the victims’ families, prays for the swift recovery of the injured, and calls for resilience and solidarity among all Somali citizens during these challenging times.
