Statement by the Freemuslim  on the International Day of Non-Violence

On the International Day of Non-Violence, the Freemuslim Center for Deradicalization and Extremism Prevention affirms that the language of weapons and war brings nothing but widespread destruction and further complexity to the crises facing the world today. The ongoing conflicts in different parts of the world require the international community and all parties to conflict to embrace peaceful dialogue and reject violence in all its forms and at every level, as the most effective means of preventing further bloodshed and preserving human dignity.

Drawing upon the guidance of the divine messages and the noble human values that call for kind words and wise counsel, and in accordance with the Qur’anic verse:

“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and debate with them in the best manner.” — Qur’an 16:125

The Center emphasizes that differences and disputes cannot be resolved through escalation and violence, but rather through common understanding, constructive dialogue, and peaceful engagement.

• Moral and Humanitarian Foundation:
This position is grounded in universal humanitarian principles and enduring calls for peace that promote security and stability and seek to protect human rights.

• Dialogue as a Strategic Alternative:
The Center emphasizes that armed conflicts cannot be resolved fundamentally except through fair negotiations and peaceful settlements that respect the rights and dignity of all parties.

• Protection of Civilians and Innocent People:
On this occasion, the Center calls for an immediate end to wars and conflicts whose greatest burden is borne by the most vulnerable, particularly women, children, and unarmed civilians. It further emphasizes the necessity of ensuring that humanitarian assistance reaches those affected without obstruction.

• Reforming the System of Values:
Addressing the major challenges of our time requires giving precedence to reason and wisdom and reforming political and international processes so that they are grounded in justice, equality, and respect for peoples’ right to self-determination, free from domination and military force.

• A Call for Global Solidarity:
The Center calls upon international organizations, governments, and peoples to intensify cultural and intellectual efforts to promote a culture of tolerance and non-violence in confronting hate speech and extremism.

• Humanitarian Commitment:
The Freemuslim Center for Deradicalization and Extremism Prevention renews its commitment to continuing its support for peaceful initiatives and intellectual and human-rights activities that strengthen a culture of non-violence. It calls upon the conscience of humanity as a whole to stand united in recognizing global peace as an essential goal for which there can be no substitute.
