Freemuslim Association’s Center for De-Radicalization & Extremism Prevention is deeply concerned about the circumstances of peaceful protestors who have been detained in Morocco. Our Moroccan correspondence has informed us of the possibility of physical and psychological torture of protestors. According to ground evidence, protestors have held a peaceful protest in Morocco and sadly have faced the use of unnecessary force by the government forces.
We ask the Moroccan authorities to release the detainees and allow the protestors to hold protests. Protests are ways a society ventilates about a social issue, and as long as it is done peacefully, there is no place for use of violence to respond.
