Diversity Leads to Peace
Freemuslim Center for De-Radicalization & Extremism Prevention (CDREP) condemn all forms of discrimination and extremism regardless of ideology, gender, age, ethnicity, religion or race. We promote peaceful coexistence and ask people to increase their tolerance to accept differences with others and ask governments and state officials to allow people to voice their opinion by facilitating platforms for people to ventilate their concerns. Disliking someone’s opinion, deed, faith, race, ethnicity or gender of another person does not give permission to take actions against them and the only way to reduce discrimination is to maximize diversity and endure the differences in opinion or belief.
Discrimination including racism, age discrimination, disability discrimination, religious discrimination, discrimination based on race, gender, color, or ideology have effected how the societies have changed throughout centuries. Nations which have embraced and endured the unavoidable differences as positive contributions to a better society have become stronger and countries where the differences between people have become barriers between citizens have regressed tremendously.
Another key factor that impacts our societies directly is terrorism. Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.” The Federal Bureau of Investigation defines two types of terrorism: international terrorism: Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups who are inspired by, or associated with, designated foreign terrorist organizations or nations (state-sponsored) and domestic terrorism: Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature. Our analysis have shown that countries that have utilized the differences we have as a positive contribution to the societies have prevailed and have seen reduced cases of discrimination and terrorism and those nations where the differences between people fueled the fire of discrimination have regressed noticeably and have noticed an internal turmoil and uncertainty fueled by discrimination.
Freemuslim Center for De-Radicalization & Extremism Prevention (CDREP) reiterates the importance diversity and asks authorities of countries plus citizens of each country to practice peaceful coexistence and endure the differences we have as human beings. We also need a new dimensions to counter terrorism. Freemuslim believes through diversity, increased tolerance and promotion of peaceful coexistence the human race can prevail and prosper. It is important to find a new angel to see the differences in opinion, religion, race, and ethnicity if we want a healthy future of generations to come.
